Forgive me if this is a stupid question but, You did this, it looks like a scan of a real comic book, awesome work, really neat design :D

Not a stupid question at all, man. It is a combination of things. I scanned an actual comicbook that was really beat up, and then I removed all traces of the art so I only had the tattered edges and staples. Then I added my own cover image and integrated it into the image so I had my own vintage garage sale / flea market find....
